How to establish a virtual phone number?
SFJohnWang asked:
I’s like to set up a separate virtual business phone number and have all the phones to be directed to my home phone number. Is there such services?

Yes there is. Look up voice mail services in your local yellow pages or online. There are a lot of good ones out there.

Yes, there are a number of such services.
When choosing such services:
- Consider whether the vendor has been in business for at least a few years and has a reputable track record (there are a lot of these services popping up and some don’t have much time or experience under their belts);
- Carefully compare monthly costs. Some services advertise a low teaser rate, but charge you for EVERYTHING. One vendor even charges a monthly fee to use their website admin panel.
I use GotVMail and recommend them. They are responsive and they offer a nice package, including toll free numbers if you wish them (a nice touch for your customers).

It cost $2 per number to set up and $2 per month. Easily set up different numbers that will all forward to any phone number. Also each number can be setup to display the virtual number on caller id so you know which number the customer called. Each number will have its own voicemail included which is saved online as well as emailed to you. Plus they are customizable to accept calls or not based on time, date, number, etc.
