How can I keep my phone number no matter what type of service I switch to?

I currently have callvantage VOIP and would like to switch to a softphone service. Is there a way for me to keep my phone number when I close my account with callvantage?

It depends on the phone company. You need to check with your next service provider.

get another phone and keep the previous phones.
